On Wednesday, December 8, 2021, Dr. Ahmed El-Gendi, Chairman and CEO of the El-Gendi Group (Elide Fire Egypt – Middle East and Africa), had the privilege of meeting with His Excellency Ambassador Mr. Puttaporn Ewtoksan, the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Arab Republic of Egypt, and His Excellency Mr. Thalerngsak Vongsamsorn, the Minister Counsellor – Commercial at The Royal Embassy of Thailand in Cairo, at The Royal Embassy of Thailand in Cairo.

Dr. El-Gendi expressed his delight at the warm reception, and the two parties engaged in a fruitful discussion on the remarkable progress and development that Egypt has witnessed during the era of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi. They explored various investment opportunities for Thai investors in Egypt, spanning the industrial, commercial, and agricultural sectors, as well as the possibilities for collaboration between the Thai and Egyptian private sectors.

Recognizing the importance of protecting intellectual property rights, the parties also emphasized the need to ensure the safeguarding of patents and trademarks of Thai origin, particularly during the process of transferring manufacturing technology for different products to Egypt, which could serve as a springboard for the Arab and African markets.
